Show You The A.Lange & Sohne 1815 UP/DOWN Mens Replica

Although the A.Lange & Sohne 1815 UP/DOWN Replica was officially launched by Lange & Sohne in 2013, it is only really starting to hit its stride now, thanks in part to the long lead-times which are standard in the replica watch industry. For example, pieces that are launched in January or March may not be available in stores until October or November of the same year.

That being said, the 1815 UP/DOWN has the kind of timeless appeal that will ensure it remains popular with aficionados everywhere for some time to come. For a start it is offered in a perfectly sized 39mm case in your choice of pink, yellow or white gold (although my personal favorite is the pink gold), making it well-suited to every day wear.

Add to that the fact it features an incredibly attractive, yet easy to read dial that uses subtle touches of color (such as flame-blued hands) to create just the right level of contrast, and all of a sudden it’s not hard to see why the 1815 UP/DOWN is so popular. And we haven’t even gotten to the best part yet!

As you will note the symmetry of the dial is enhanced further by two small sub-dials at 4 and 8 o’clock respectively. The former displays the small seconds (which also stop when the crown is pulled), while the latter incorporates Lange & Sohne’s famed Auf/Aub or UP/DOWN power-reserve indicator. This device was first used in historic pocket replica watches and marine chronometers and dates back to a Lange patent granted in 1879.

Animating the 1815 UP/DOWN is the Calbire L051.2, which is visible through the exhibition case-back on the reverse side of the replica watch. This superbly finished, manually wound movement comprises no less than 245 parts, including an enlarged mainspring barrel that delivers power for three days when fully wound.

Completing the look is a supple leather strap, befitting of the classic style of the 1815 UP/DOWN.
